I took these photos and video from my back yard today. The last good eclipse in Charleston, SC was in 2017. I will admit I did take 2 semesters of basic Astronomy at College of Charleston and LOVED it. I'm not a major astro nerd, but I like to note when the annual meteor showers will happen and things like eclipses, water found on Mars, and pictures from the probes. ("Good Night Oppy" was fun!) However, I do not stay awake at night worrying about asteroids hitting Earth.
