Charleston Mercury cartoon – June 2017 – Google it: Nevermore

Charleston Mercury June 2017

It seems the powers that be in Berkeley County, S.C. promised Google all their water in the aquifer if they’d build a giant server farm and provide a handful of jobs to the area. Well, the servers got hot – it’s really hot in Berkeley County by the way – and the servers need to be cooled so we can look up the definition of “implicit” (see “SNL” skit with ScarJo mocking Ivanka Trump). A cartoonist’s job is to exaggerate, so here we have the Charleston Harbor drained of all its water and container ships are aground while a helpful raven offers advice. You never know – it could happen here.
